Hebridean Island Cruises has launched the 2027 collection of voyages for its 38-guest ship, Lord of the Highlands, featuring signature journeys through the intricate waterways of the Caledonian Canal and the Great Glen and the Highlands and islands of Scotland, a selection of theme cruises and four brand new itineraries.
All itineraries are available to book from today with savings of up to 15% available if booked before 31st August 2026.
The 2027 programme, which embodies slow travel at its finest, features 23 itineraries of six- or seven-night durations between April and October.
Lord of the Highlands will spend the 2027 season navigating the calm scenic waters of the Caledonian Canal and exploring the idyllic Inner Hebrides, offering a rare way to explore the Highlands at an unhurried pace.
Highlights of the 2027 programme include:
- NEW: A seven-night Caledonian Canal Odyssey from Inverness to Oban which travels at a slower pace, allowing guests to fully appreciate the history, heritage, breathtaking natural beauty and remarkable engineering of this lesser-known part of the Highlands. Departs 14th June with prices from £4,360.50 per person based on two sharing.
- NEW: A seven-night Voyage Through the Great Glen from Oban to Inverness taking in the stunning vistas of the Highlands, the geological fault of the Great Glen, pretty villages, scenic lochs and stunning countryside. Departs 21st June with prices from £4,360.50 per person based on two sharing.
- NEW: A seven-night Great Glen Escape through the Inner Isles and Caledonian Canal that fits in plenty of interesting shore excursions including a tranquil woodland walk to the spectacular Falls of Foyers and a visit to Cawdor Castle which has been inhabited by the Cawdor family for over 600 years. The cruise from Oban to Inverness departs 13th September with prices from £4,360.50 per person based on two sharing.
- NEW: A six-night Treasures of Wester Ross round trip from Kyle of Lochalsh that offers a thorough exploration of the north west coast and the Inner Isles at arguably the best time of year. This is the first time that Lord of the Highlands has cruised to and from Kyle of Lochalsh. Departs 27th September with prices from £3,740 per person based on two sharing.
- NEW: A six-night West Coast Wonders from Kyle of Lochalsh to Oban that explores the sheltered waters of some of the scenic sounds which lie between the mainland and the isles of Mull and Skye. Departs 3rd October with prices from £3,740 per person.
- Seven themed cruises that explore Scotland’s most compelling stories, from magnificent gardens and remarkable wildlife to historic castles and the legacy of the Jacobite Uprising. These cruises are enriched by distinguished guest speakers offering engaging insights that bring each destination vividly to life.
Prices for the 2027 programme start from £3,740 per person for the six-night cruises departing 8th, 14th and 20th April; 27th September; and 3rd, 9th and 15th October.
All-inclusive pricing includes all meals and drinks, shore excursions, guides and guest speakers, use of bicycles, gratuities, WiFi, private coach transfers between the local airport or train station and Lord of the Highlands or secure parking at the port.
Purpose-built to transit the historic locks of the Caledonian Canal and following a multi-million pound rebuild in 2021, the 38-guest Lord of the Highlands is the latest addition to the Hebridean Island Cruises’ fleet.
With rich hardwood finishes offset by cream panelling, Lord of the Highlands is reminiscent of a Pullman carriage from the golden age and the size of the ship ensures a relaxed house party atmosphere.
