Margaritaville at Sea is launching its first national brand campaign, “Welcome to Somewhere”, a fully integrated effort that brings the cruise line to life in a more immersive and distinctive way.

The campaign is designed to sharpen the brand’s identity while driving awareness and consideration in a highly competitive and rapidly growing cruise market. 

At its core, the campaign reimagines the vacation experience, placing as much value on the journey as the destination. “Welcome to Somewhere” positions Margaritaville at Sea as a more relaxed, emotionally driven alternative in a category often defined by size, spectacle, and price. 

“The best vacations don’t wait until you arrive. They begin the moment you step onboard,” said Christopher Ivy, CEO of Margaritaville at Sea. “That’s what this campaign captures – the sense of ease, freedom, and enjoyment that defines the Margaritaville at Sea experience from start to finish.” 

The campaign is rooted in the insight that today’s travelers are seeking more personal, meaningful getaways.

Rather than centering the destination, the creative focuses on the in-between moments: unplanned, unhurried experiences rooted in connection.  

Anchored by a candid, lifestyle-driven visual approach, the campaign highlights authentic onboard moments through a warm, sun-soaked lens.

Natural lighting, documentary-style framing, and expressive, hand-drawn typography reinforce the brand’s easygoing personality and signature sense of escape.  

The fully integrated campaign will roll out nationally across connected TV, digital out-of-home, programmatic, streaming audio, YouTube, and direct mail.

Creative assets include :30, :15, and :06 video spots, supported by a mix of digital and physical placements designed to drive reach and frequency. 

“Welcome to Somewhere” will begin rolling out in May, with additional creative iterations planned in the months following launch.
