Virgin Voyages’ Brilliant Lady has arrived in Los Angeles where she’ll be the first Virgin Voyages ship to homeport on the West Coast, marking a new chapter for the kid-free brand.
Following iconic calls in Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Cabo San Lucas, Brilliant Lady officially sails into LA next week, fresh off a wellness glow-up.
Designed around how Californians actually live their lives, Virgin Voyages’ newest ship features several dedicated fitness facilities built to support this lifestyle along with a fresh lineup of onboard Happenings and culinary events that inspire movement and recovery.
New on deck is a morning ritual experience, eight themed Vibe Rides, and recovery beverages packed with nutrients and protein. A crossing from one ocean to another is the kind of journey that demands a ship arrive transformed, and Brilliant Lady has.

Radiance — The Morning Ritual
Several times per voyage, Radiance transforms Brilliant Lady’s Aquatic Club into a space for collective intention. Part morning rave, part spiritual reset, Sailors are guided through a five-phase journey that builds with the rising sun, moving from breathwork and light stretching into an energizing, fitness-forward dance set, all through wireless headphones. It’s a dynamic way to welcome a new day and set personal intentions, blending wellness, music, and collective energy before breakfast.
Vibe Rides — Eight West Coast-Themed Cycle Experiences
Brilliant Lady’s cycle studio is launching eight, 45-minute West Coast-themed rides for the season, each a fully conceived sensory experience and complete with a dedicated playlist and fashion aesthetic:

Juice Sea — Nutrition For Every Body Composition Goal
Juice Sea, Brilliant Lady’s dedicated wellness bar on Deck 7, has been significantly expanded for the West Coast season. The menu includes cold-pressed and freshly-extracted juices, squeezed-to-order citrus and a recovery-focused wellness shot programme with ginger, turmeric, chili and baobab.
New for 2026: a dedicated protein smoothie menu tailored to different wellness goals, from muscle building and endurance to bulking and cutting, with full macronutrient transparency on every blend.
Juice Sea is also introducing a series of GLP-1 friendly, high-protein, low-calorie smoothies for travelers balancing their health goals with GLP-1 medications.
The LA MerMaiden and West Coast Season
Brilliant Lady’s West Coast season opens with the one-time-only LA MerMaiden from April 7-12, 2026. This five-night roundtrip from Los Angeles calls in Santa Barbara, San Diego and Ensenada, Mexico.
The Los Angeles season continues through May 2026, offering five- to eight-night itineraries along the California coast. Other port highlights include Catalina Island and San Francisco.
Brilliant Lady then heads north to Seattle for the brand’s first-ever Alaska season, with the Seattle MerMaiden departing May 21, 2026.
